I was very excited to go to Brooklyn tonight at rush hour for the recording of “Jimmy Kimmel Live”.
The musical guest was to be Paul Simon. He was also set for an interview.
But now I’m told that Simon left the show at the last minute. Since he is a consummate live performer, he is suspected that he has COVID or a cold or something that took him out quickly.
What a shame. Simon, as I told you recently, is recording a new album. I thought he might play a new song. Either one of the dozen famous from “The Sound of Silence” to “American Tune” or really “Bridge Over Troubled Water”.
So we send best wishes to Paul Simon to get well quickly. And Jimmy Kimmel will still have Jason Bateman and I’m sure he’ll have a worthy replacement. His shows all week from Brooklyn were a lot of fun!
