International cricket is back in Bangladesh after more than six months. The upcoming Bangladesh-India three-match ODI series, the first bilateral ODI series between these two teams in seven years, will also mark a return to this format at the Shere Bangla National Stadium after a gap of 18 months.
It will be only the fifth bilateral ODI series (all in Bangladesh) involving these two teams, it will mainly witness the initial preparations of the participants for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 to be played in India in less than a year from now.
Although India won their last five ODIs against Bangladesh, readers must note that Bangladesh had emerged as winners in the last series between these two neighboring countries. With India winning the first ODI tri-series against Bangladesh, Rohit Sharma and his men would be looking to return to winning ways especially with a first-choice batting unit.

With either team announcing their respective Playing XI on the eve of the match, all eyes will be on the toss in Mirpur tomorrow. India, in particular, have a lot of thinking to do when it comes to zeroing in on a fit ODI Playing XI for this series and in the near future.
India vs Bangladesh 1st ODI Live Telecast Channel in India and Bangladesh
Expected to be a hectic month for their team, Sony Sports Network will be telecasting India’s tour of Bangladesh 2022 in India just like the ongoing West Indies’ tour of Australia and England’s tour of Pakistan.
Unlike the other two Test series, the Bangladesh vs India ODIs will be televised on three different TV channels in as many as four different languages. The channels that will telecast this series are Sony Sports 3 (Hindi), Sony Sports 4 (Tamil/Telugu) and Sony Sports 5 (English). As far as an official streaming platform is concerned, Sony LIV will be streaming these games in India on a paid subscription.
Both Gazi TV and T Sports televised international cricket in Bangladesh earlier this year. Having said that, neither these networks nor the BCB (Bangladesh Cricket Board) have provided any official updates regarding this series. We will update this story once official confirmation has been uploaded by any of these entities.
