Strictly Come Dancing has confirmed that Kym Marsh will not be attending next week’s live show after testing positive for coronavirus. The Coronation Street star and Graziano Di Prima are expected to hit the dance floor again the following Saturday.
A spokesperson for Strictly said: “Kym Marsh has tested positive for Covid-19. As a result, Kym and Graziano will not be attending Strictly Come Dancing this weekend.
“Strictly Come Dancing protocols mean all is well, they will be back the following week.”
This is the first time this year that a celebrity has had to withdraw from the live show after testing positive for the coronavirus.
However, Graziano has already experienced this situation when he was partnered with Judi Love in 2021.

She avoided prom by being saved by public vote and viewers will be disappointed to hear she won’t be dancing this weekend.
It’s not the first time she’s fallen ill this season, as she was replaced by Morning Live in early November.
She revealed that she caught a bug and had hoped to recover quickly so she could dance with Graziano.
At the time she said, “She said, ‘I’m fine, I just got a little bug from one of the kids, unfortunately.
“I took this on the train yesterday on my way home, so that was cool.”
Strictly Come Dancing fans took to Twitter to share their concern for the Coronation Street star.
@mkmswain tweeted: “Ooh no Kym on #Strictly this Saturday – she tested positive for Covid. Hopefully come back next week.
@sylvia_luisa added: ‘Just heard about Kym Marsh – I really hope it hasn’t spread further as they haven’t distanced themselves from this series and were all very close in Blackpool! I hope she’s not too sick and no one else is. take! #Strictly.”
Strictly Come Dancing airs on BBC One on Saturdays at 7.15pm.
