Good morning Manchester United fans
Speculation continues to build on who could launch a bid to take control of the club.
The Glazer family announced earlier this week that they would be “exploring strategic alternatives” for the club and now United fans are hoping the controversial American family will sell out.
It was revealed last night that David Beckham was open to being part of a bid to take over the club.
British billionaire Jim Ratcliffe, who has already shown interest in the club, is reportedly preparing to make a move.
Other wealthy businessmen like Elon Musk have also been linked with a move to United.
Meanwhile, Cristiano Ronaldo is preparing for his first World Cup match in Qatar as Portugal prepare to face Ghana later today.
It has been far from a quiet week off the pitch for the 37-year-old as he mutually agreed to terminate his contract on Tuesday.
The deal came after Ronaldo gave an explosive interview to Piers Morgan in which he lashed out at the club and how it’s been run.
He has been linked with moves to the likes of Sporting Lisbon and Newcastle.
The former Real Madrid player was also slapped with a two-match ban and £60,000 penalty by the FA.
This came after Ronaldo dropped a phone from a fan’s hand in April.
