Released on August 27, 2021, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 was rebranded as “Galaxy Fold 3” in some European markets due to the association between the letter Z and the Russian invasion of Ukraine. This foldable handset came with One UI 3.1.1 based on Android 11 on board, which was then upgraded to Android 12 and One UI 4. Now, the third major Android update for is already being rolled out.
The Android 13 / One UI 5.0 firmware for the Galaxy Z Fold 3 was tested in India for a few weeks last month, along with the same software update for the Galaxy Z Flip 3. While other markets are still waiting for it, the stable Android 13 /One UI 5.0 update for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 is now rolling out in Europe.
The firmware version number of the update is F926BXXU2DVK3. The update package includes the November 2022 security patch. Since Samsung tested the beta alongside the one for the Galaxy Z Flip 3, it is not surprising to see that it will also receive the update. The firmware version, in this case, is F711BXXU3DVK3.
As is usually the case with such updates that are rarely available and need time to become widely available, those who are still waiting for the update notification to show up can go to Settings > Software Update > Download and install.
