The World Cup is your favourite is the favorite to win Group G and Portugal is the favorite in Group H. Although you will probably be spending more time with the family and watching NFL football on Thursday than you will watch the World Cup, there are still four games to go. get some action on. Here’s what you need to know.
Switzerland vs Cameroon
5 am AND Thursday, FS1
Switzerland finished third in their Group at Euro 2020 but progressed to the quarter-finals where they lost to Spain on penalties after beating France on penalties in the Round of 16. Confidence should be in the that Euro 2020 run is a huge boost and we’ll get there. Switzerland straight up in this one at just -130.
Uruguay vs South Korea
8 a.m. ET, FS1
This is the game considered to be the lowest score. Uruguay still have Edinson Cavani and Luis Suarez on the roster, although Darwin Nunes aims to lead the front line. Tottenham’s Heung Min Son is capable of taking over a game, especially if he can find space on the counter.
Portugal vs Ghana
11 a.m. ET, Fox
How does the ruckus at Manchester United affect the Portugal squad? Captain Cristiano Ronaldo and Bruno Fernandes are no longer club mates after Ronaldo’s contract was terminated on Tuesday. Ronaldo will be the team’s leading striker on Thursday, although one has to wonder if Portugal would have had an even better chance of winning the World Cup if he had been on the bench.
Brazil vs Serbia
2 pm ET, Fox
Serbia are not overwhelming World Cup favorites because of the talent on the roster. Aleksander Mitrovic and Dusan Vlahovic are strong strikers and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic is a player who has been popular with top clubs for a long time. We will still take the Brazilians to win this one but our best bet is under 2.5 goals at +100.
