Vivo has launched its new flagship smartphone series in China. The company has launched the Vivo X90 series in China. The Vivo X90 series is expected to launch in India and other markets in the next few months or so. The current lineup includes the X90, X90 Pro and X90 Pro + 5G. The USP of the X90 series continues to be the camera hardware, among others.
A 1-inch Sony sensor is packed inside the X90 Pro + 5G, which sits at the top of the lineup. The X90 and X90 Pro have a triple camera setup on the back. The devices also have Dimensity and Snapdragon SoCs under the hood. Let’s take a look at Vivo X90 series price, specifications and other details.
Vivo X90 Series Price and Specifications
The X90 series includes a variety of RAM and storage options. The Vivo X90 has 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage in its base model. It is priced at CNY 3699 (roughly Rs 42,300). The device is also available in 8GB + 256GB, 12GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB models, which are priced at CNY 3999 (roughly Rs 45,700), CNY 4499 (roughly Rs 51,500) and CNY 4990s (rough). It is available in Black, Blue and Red colors.
There’s the X90 Pro 5G, which is available for CNY 4999 (roughly Rs 57,200) for the base 8GB + 256GB storage option. It also comes with 12GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB storage options, which are priced at CNY 5499 (approximately Rs 63,000) and CNY 5999 (approximately Rs 68,600). The device has been launched in Black and Red colors.
The top-of-the-line X90 Pro + 5G arrives with 12GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB storage options. The variants are priced at CNY 6499 (approx Rs 74,400) and CNY 6999 (approx Rs 80,100). It is available in Red and Black color options.
Moving on to the specifications, the X90 series sports a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate support. The X90 Pro + 5G and X90 Pro come with a QHD + resolution display, but the X90 5G has a 2800 x 1260-pixel resolution screen. All three models have a punch-hole cutout at the top center for the 32MP front camera.
The devices also receive the Origin OS 3 update based on Android 13 in China. They come with different processors and camera specifications. The devices have the new Vivo V2 custom ISP, which is claimed to improve the performance of the low-light camera as well as portrait mode shots.
In terms of camera hardware, the X90 5G has a 50MP Sony IMX866 main camera sensor. The triple camera setup is completed by a 12MP ultrawide camera and a 12MP portrait lens with 2x optical zoom. The X90 Pro will have a 50MP Sony IMX989 main camera, a 50MP Sony IMX758 portrait sensor with 2x optical zoom and a 12MP f/2.0 ultrawide sensor.
The X90 Pro + 5G will finally sit at the top with a 50MP Sony IMX989 main camera sensor. A 1-inch primary camera sensor is accompanied by a 48MP Sony IMX598 ultrawide sensor, a 50MP Sony IMX758 f/1.6 portrait sensor and a 64MP OmniVision OV64B40 telephoto camera with f/3.5 aperture and up to 100x digital zoom.
Coming to the performance unit, the X90 and X90 Pro 5G have a Dimensional 9200 SoC under the hood. The X90 Pro + 5G, on the other hand, gets a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC.
The X90 5G packs a 4,810mAh battery with support for 120W fast charging out of the box. On the other hand, the X90 Pro 5G packs a slightly larger 4870mAh battery. The phone supports 120W and 50W wireless charging.
Vivo X90 Pro + 5G has the smallest battery unit among the three phones. It packs a 4,700mAh battery with 80W and 50W wireless charging support. The device is also quite heavy on paper with a weight of 220 grams and a thickness of 9.7mm.
